American Standard was originally formed in 2002, in San Jose, California. They released a demo self-titled album that took the local punk scene by storm. But the fire that burns the hottest, often flames out all the quicker and the band broke up within a year of forming. 20 years later, in 2022, American Standard realized that the people needed their music again, and they reformed. The band hit the studio hard and fast to release their latest album, Become Ungovernable, in 2024.
